A step-by-step guide for using your tex.tracer account to trace your supply chain:

Step 1 - Onboard your team

When you've made the decision to use tex.tracer for tracing your product's supply chain, the first task is to determine who on your team will be using the platform.

The platform allows for up to two admin roles for your account, alongside admin accounts you also have the option to invite other team members to join with different permissions/rights.

Read more about inviting your colleague here.

Step 2 - Upload orderlines

The next step is to upload the orderlines onto the tex.tracer platform, to create transparent supply chains. You will need to upload orderlines by filling in a CSV file, you can download the latest version of the CSV file and watch our tutorial here.

To make it even easier for you, you can automate this process by connecting your company's ERP/PLM system directly to tex.tracer to upload orderlines automatically. This requires an integration setup. Please contact your point of contact to discuss the options.

Step 3 - Invite and onboard your partners

Once your orderlines are uploaded, you can assign them to your Contractual Partners, who will play a key role in building your supply chain. First, you will need to invite your Partners to the platform, in order for them to create their account. Your partners will receive an invitation via e-mail, to create their free account.

Step 4 - Send your orderlines to your partners

After you have uploaded your orderlines and onboarded your partners, you can send your orderlines to your partners. Have a look at our article and manual on how to send the orderlines to your partners here.

When the orderlines are sent to your partners, they can start creating the supply chain.

Step 5 - Track your orderlines and partner progress

Once the orderlines are sent to your Contractual partners, they need to invite their partners (Tier 1-4) to create transparent supply chains.

To check the supply chains of the orderlines, you can go to the Orderlines page.

To check the onboarding status of all partners in your supply chains, you can go to the Supply chain partner page.

Step 6 - Compliance Data

When your supply chain has been mapped out, it is time to gather compliance data. All partners are asked to upload their environmental certificates and social audit reports. You have an overview of all their documents on the Compliance page.

You can also send your compliance documents to your partners and request a digital signature.

Step 7 - Download the tex.tracer reports

Want to export the data gathered in tex.tracer? Use our standard reports, or request a customised one!
