As a brand or retailer, the Supply chain partners page gives you an overview of all your supply chain partners. It also allows you to invite new partners. Let’s have a look at the page:

What type is your partner?

  1. Contractual partners are the partners you send your orders to (with whom you have a contract). They are often your Tier 1 suppliers, production location, manufacturer or confectioner. The contractual partner is responsible for creating the supply chain in tex.tracer, and orderlines are sent to them.

  2. Agents: sometimes, you do not work directly with the contractual partner, but you have an agent who acts on behalf of your brand/company. Agents often work on a commission basis. When you invite an agent to tex.tracer, they will (in the near future) be able to view the orderlines they are responsible for, create the supply chain or delegate orderlines to the contractual partner.

  3. Nominated partners: do you have a nominated fabric or trims supplier? Or a logistic partner? You can invite these nominated partners, and assign them to certain steps in the supply chain before sending the orderlines to your contractual partner or agent. Your contractual partner or agent cannot make alterations to these assigned partners.

If you are not sure what type is your partner, find the answer using the diagram below:

You can easily see whether a partner is onboarded by the checkmark next to their name. A partner that is not yet onboarded has no checkmark.

Invite a partner

As a brand, you can easily invite a new supply chain partner.

  1. Go to Supply chain partners page and click on the invite new button.

  2. It might be that your partner is already in the tex.tracer database. Start typing in the Company name or Company registration number in the field, and the search for your partner in the tex.tracer database will start.

  3. If your partner is already in the database, select your partner from the list. Their basic information will be prefilled.

  4. Fill in the remaining empty fields.

  5. Click on Send invite

To invite a supply chain partner that is not yet in the tex.tracer database, the following information is required:

  • Company name: the company name of the supply chain partner.

  • Company registration number: this is the number the supply chain partner has received when they have registered their company to do business. The chamber of commerce number, or license number.

  • Production country, state and city: the production country, state and city where the supply chain partner is located. If they have multiple facilities, use the main or head office/location.

  • Partner type: you can choose between 1) contractual partner, 2) agent or 3) nominated partner. It is important to select the correct type, as each type has a different account with certain permissions.

  • First name: the first name of the contact person of the supply chain partner.

  • Last name: the last name of the contact person of the supply chain partner.

  • Contact email: the email address of the contact person of the supply chain partner.
