As a yarn supplier, you will be asked to provide the following information about the yarn(s) present in the final product:
Start by providing information about Yarn 1.
Reference for this yarn: provide a reference for the yarn; this helps to recognise the yarn for other partners, such as the knitter/weaver. This is a mandatory field.
Spinning method: choose one of the spinning methods from the dropdown. This is a mandatory field.
Yarn count refers to the thickness of a yarn and is determined by its mass per unit length. If the yarn is double/plied or triple yarn, please mention the yarn count of the single yarn. Additionally, indicate whether it is a single, double, or triple yarn in the reference field. This is a mandatory field.
Unit: choose one of the drop-down options (Nm, Denier, Tex, Dtex, Ne1). This is a mandatory field.
For each yarn, add the fiber details.
If a yarn consists of more than one fiber, you can add another fiber by clicking on the button Add fiber.
Type of Fiber: select one of the options from the dropdown. This is a mandatory field.
%: Add how much of this fiber is used to make the yarn. This cannot be more than 100%, and if it is less than 100%, please add an extra fiber. Use rounded numbers; no decimals are allowed. This is a mandatory field.
Energy use:
If you know the energy used to make the yarn, please add the details. This is not mandatory.
Energy use per km of yarn: this is calculated in kWh. No decimals are allowed.
Percentage of wind energy used: of your energy use, what percentage is provided by wind energy? This cannot be more than 100%; no decimals are allowed.
Percentage of solar energy used: of your energy use, what percentage is provided by solar energy? This cannot be more than 100%; no decimals are allowed.
You can provide any supporting document by clicking on Upload supporting document. Please make sure this document is written in English.
Transport data:
Finally, add the transport data to the next partner.
Mode of transport: choose one of the options for transportation.
Distance: add the distance, no decimals.
Unit: choose one of the units (Km, Nautic miles, miles).
Note: When adding transport data, particularly for waterways or sea routes, be careful with the distance and units you enter. Use the sea-distance measurer to calculate the distance in either nautical miles or kilometers.
To track the progress of collecting footprint data, use color indication of the dots next to each step:
Red: Incomplete step
Yellow: Partially complete step
Green: Fully filled-in step
